Our Big Blog

“No, I would not want to live in a world without dragons, as I would not want to live in a world without magic, for that is a world without mystery, and that is a world without faith.” ~ R.A. Salvatore

Christmas – the most magical time of the year.

If you have been in a department store recently, you will see it.  The holidays are already making a grand appearance. Christmas stockings dangle expectantly from their golden hooks, trees dance in their glorious adornment and Santa’s jolly face peeks around every corner watching our every move.   Christmas is on the way.

Christmas truly is a magical time for many, yet not everyone can embrace the joy of the holiday season.  There are so many who are unable to provide for their children and many become lost in despair at this time of year.

When we create magic for someone else, the magic becomes ours. It takes very little to make it happen and the joy that comes in so doing is a joy that cannot be expressed in words.

All around each of us, there is a family in need, and we have the ability to create the magical in the lives of children. It may be a single mother, a neighbor, a friend, a friend of a friend, a referral from a school teacher, someone in your church, or even a person you meet in a public place.

Please consider bringing magic to the lives of a family this Christmas.  It may seem early in the season, but it is not too soon to begin preparation. Each and every child deserves to have their personal Christmas wishes presented to and filled by Santa. EVERY single child deserves.

Creating magic is more than an angel from a tree, or gifts from an organization.  Creating magic is making an unforgettable Christmas happen in the lives of those less fortunate. The hot toys are already flying off the shelves so it is time for all of us little elves to get busy!!!

Find a family.  Bless them this Christmas with a magical event. Give someone the Christmas they cannot give themselves.  In so doing, you will find joy unspeakable and you will SEE the magic fall all over you!!

Known Unknowns....

Did You Know?

Wilma Rudolph was the 20th of 22 kids.  Born prematurely at 4.5 lbs., she suffered infantile paralysis, polio, and scarlet fever.  She wore a brace for a twisted leg.  She eventually became the world’s fastest woman, winning 4 Olympic medals.

Big Inspiration at Oprah's Life Class

Last month Carrie and one of our teammates had the wonderful opportunity to attend TD Jakes' Megafest.  Over 100,000 people from around the world were in Dallas to attend various seminars, concerts and events associated with Megafest.  One of the highlights of the week was Oprah's Life Class at the American Airlines Center.  The classes were taped to be aired on the OWN Network.  TD Jakes and Oprah shared messages of wisdom, faith and healing with the packed arena.  We are blessed to have been a part of this magnificent event and hope to share with others the inspiration we gained.

For more information on Oprah's Life Class, or to see the complete show, check your local listings for the OWN Network.  You will not be disappointed!
